Waiting.

Jonathan captioned this photo "Bear saves a space." I'm not sure it adequately captures our feelings these days, but it's a start. Waiting takes a long time. And waiting for this--the most eventful moment of our lives and the moment that will move us utterly beyond the perceived control of our lives--in the midst of our semester-ending-craziness makes us wonder what we've done.

We've been wondering that for a while, though. What are we doing? What will we do? What will our life look like with this brand new person in it? How will our life change? How will it remain the same?

We've been practicing, at least to the best of our abilities.

We've been singing songs (mostly Jonathan) and reading stories (both of us). We've folded tiny clothes and puzzled over the rows of "baby gear" that could quickly drain our bank account.

Most of all, we've been waiting. Wondering when our wait will end and what will come next. When will you come, Little One?
